Good Saturday Everyone!!

Morning and early afternoon was sooo cloudy!  Seriously, it was raining so hard and the clouds looked so ominous....I thought just maybe it really was November.  Then, just like that, the clouds broke and the sun came out shining!!  This bright light really started to disturb the TV screen, so I figured I should do something other than flop around and watch Law & Order!  Gotta love Netflix!!

So, I didn't go visit with Alvin today, but Hank went over to pick up Rik and took her to him.  Hank did call me to let me know Al is NO LONGER IN ISOLATION!!!  This is so huge!!  Hank put me on speaker phone and I told Al how awesome the news was!!  He is going to proceed with his PT this next week.  I cannot wait to see how he progresses! 

He is really striving to come home.  At this rate..we better get on the ball and get some things taken care of around the house.  We are going to build a ramp for dad to get up instead of the steep stairs out on the porch and we also need to remove all the floor thresholds at the doorway, this caused the fall in the first place!  I am hoping to get an estimate for this, sometime this week.  I am going down to the DHS Monday morning and going to start finding out some serious information about once Alvin is able to come home.  There are going to be things that they both may need some support with and the family is thinking I may be right for the job!  I talked to Al about it yesterday morning.  Asked him if he would feel comfortable with me around ALOT and possible up close and "personal!"  He assured me that I would be a wonderful addition to his daily life, both him and Rik.  I am looking forward to this and am gearing up to take some courses to become a Certified Home Health Caregiver.
